Marta Kocon is a classically trained conductor and violist.

Her multifaceted musical education and a desire of still enriching it in an every possible way, made her a competent conductor, musician and a music educator.

She is known for conducting a vast number of orchestras, choirs and chamber groups, as well for playing viola / violin in a different constellations, both as an orchestra and chamber musician.

Marta Kocon is a co-founder of the international group The Emerald String Trio and an untypical viola & vibraphone duo The Chain.

She has been conducted orchestras and choirs in several countries like USA, Haiti, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Sweden and Denmark. In her 20 years experience of conducting she has been a director and a conductor of a string and a symphony orchestras and a classical choirs.

For many years she has been teaching viola and violin students of all ages, as well as instructing a number of chamber music groups. One of them got for instance the “Talent Award” at The Youth Music Classic, an established  musical contest in Denmark.
